What advice about saving money is used?
My friend is about to start a new job with a friend who started his own company a year ago. I fear he may be making as much money if the business is slow, and want suggestions on little things that can save money. But I'm 20 and I'm sure many of you moms have more advice. Thank you!
Getting a current account that pays interest. You can compare prices in http://www.bankrate.com/. Online banking is just that I like is http://home.ingdirect.com/. But you can not make paper checks from your checking account only the ability to transfer money online or to pay someone using a debit card. A great book for Christian money management that I recommend is "proof of the debt of his marriage" Mary Hunt. Even if you're not a Christian, there are lots of good advice for everyone here. http://www.debtproofliving.com/ author site. A few good books are "stingy moms," "Meals miser" and "Frugal Families", all in Jonni McCoy, whose site is http://www.miserlymoms.com/. A Another good book is "The Complete miser Gazette" by Amy Dacyczyn. Log in to the habit of using libraries and used bookstores instead of always buying new books. The libraries also have movies and music, and if you are patient enough to wait on a list to see the new equipment you can see for free! If a library does not have an item you want, you can apply for them to purchase the item (Often a problem if later) or ask questions about the possibility of a library for interlibrary loan. Plan your meals around a Combining what is already in your house and what is in store this week in stores locally. Some stores will honor other stores fly "if you bring in ads, you can use the coupon ad sales in a big list single window. To see if a store near you is the following. Also look the local dollar store (where everything is $ 1.00 or less), the bakery in one day (like Wonder and Hostess) and discount stores that can have a limited amount of items and not honoring the coupons, but still some good deals too. When shopping, take a calculator and calculate the quantity of an item per unit (ounces for example). In some stores, the calculation is done for you and the answer is on the label radius. Item Cost divided by the number of units = cost per unit. This tells you that the size of something better to face: what is has the lowest price per unit. It is not always the most important and not always what is on sale, so it's something practical to obtain test the best value for your money. A couple of other useful sites are: information on Oprah http://www.oprah.com/money/debtdiet/experts/qa/debtdiet_qa_budgets.jhtml Budgeting A TV show couples debt http://www.slice.ca/Shows/ShowsPage.aspx?Title_ID=93097 Freecycle, a group where people give things did Free need anyone who is willing to take: http://www.freecycle.org/ My final suggestion is to get into the habit of recording all revenue and spending your money only visible to you. It really helps!
