any tips for a 43 yr. old man on for his first date?
i’m 43 and am going out on my first date tomorrow with a 36 yr old damsel. She got divorced last yr and is willing to move on in life. On my part,well i’ve been a complete novice in matters of love and romance and this is actually the first time i’m out on a date. Now the thing is that i’ve known her for the last couple of years but only as a friend. I’ve been a secret admirer of her’s but obviously couldn’t make my move ‘coz she was married. Not any more though. So how do i impress her on our first date? And more importantly,how do i convince her that i’m the one for her? Although she might not confess,but deep down within i know that she does have a soft corner for me.
Well at least she is already your friend so you will not feel as nervous. Take her somewhere nice – you could ask her if she has a favorite restaurant, or type of food. Eating is a great way to get to know someone better – and if you run out of witty remarks you can always eat some food.
Be on time to pick her up. Be clean and sweet smelling. Open the car door for her, and make sure your car is clean inside also. When at the restaurant LISTEN to her when she talks and make eye contact as you listen to her. Do not be in too much of a hurry to say something right back. Women love a man who actually listens to what they are saying. Many men feel that they must “fix” whatever the woman is talking about. But women do not want it fixed – they just want someone to listen to them while they figure it out.
One of the sexiest things a man can do is cook a good dinner for a woman and take care of the dishes too. (Hiding them in the dishwasher is fine.) But cooking dinner for someone is not a good first date. Save that for after you have been out several times with her.
If you take her to the movies find out what she would like to see and see it. Really watch it – the first date is not a good time for pawing at her. She will let you know how to treat her by how she treats you. If she touches your hand while talking to you then it is ok to do this to her when appropriate.
